If you don't look back you'll stay young
“Recipe for staying young
1) Avoid fried meats, which angry the blood.
2) If your stomach disputes you, lie down and pacify
it with cool thoughts.
3) Keep the juices flowing by jangling around gently
as you move
4) Go very light on the vices such as carrying on in
society. The social ramble ain’t restful.
5) Avoid running at all times.
6) Don’t look back, something may be gaining on
you.”
It is usually the simplest advice that rings truest and that in the
long run seems to have effect. I think there is as much truth as myth
in any recipe for staying young, healthy, beautiful or whatever. But we
may as well try the simple truths in the event that they may work. I
have a book full of old folk remedies and some of them are very weird,
but, and this is what is so great about them, for hundreds of years
this was the tried and tested methods of coping with ailments of both
body and mind. They were conceived with great effort and probably tried
out on many an unsuspecting guinea-pig. A lot of the strange
ingredients are no longer even available. For the quoted recipe you
need no ingredients just a willing mind. I hope you find it keeps you
young for a very long time, if not in body then in spirit.
