Imagine the universe
This is the awe-inspiring universe of magic. There are no atoms, only
waves and motions all around. Here you discard all belief in barriers
to understanding. You put aside understanding itself. This universe can
not be seen, cannot be heard, cannot be detected in any way by fixed
perceptions. It is the ultimate void where no pre-ordained screens
occur upon which forms may be projected. You have only one awareness
here - the screen of the magi: Imagination! Here, you learn
what it is to be human. You are a creator or order, of beautiful shapes
and systems an organizer of chaos.

Heretics of Dune
Frank Herbert
I have always said that there is one part of me that no one can ever
touch unless I let them, and that part is my mind. In my imagination I
can be the Terminator or I can be a princess in a castle, I am a
millionaire and I am a brilliant artist. Often when someone is being
particularly horrid to me I just put my blank eyes on and escape to
some wonderful fantasy in my head. Our imaginations must be our most
wondrous gift it has no limits but the ones you place on it. I know I
have spoken on imagination and its virtues before but it is such a
wonderful ability to use your imagination. When your having a really
tough day at work you can transport yourself to a magical tropical
island having a tall cool drink served to you by a gorgeous native. The
secret to a good imaginative experience is involving all your senses.
You have to actually feel the warm sun on your skin, taste the cool
drink on your lips, smell the tanning oil on the native - yummy!
Another advantage is that you can meet someone who you may be missing a
lot in the wonderful exotic locations your mind can create.
Give yourself permission to imagine without limits.
