About Me

I was born in South Africa and more particularly near
Johannesburg in Germiston. My birth date is 11 August. I am a Leo.

I am extremely close to my family (my husband, my parents and my Yorkie – Tigger). I am creative, spiritual, compassionate, temperamental, a highly sensitive person, intuitive, and a bit reclusive.

I have opinions about everything, well almost everything. I am interested in many things and I love beautiful things. I observe obsessively and I read people.

I love books and reading and have had a passion for both since very young. Mostly I think because my mom’s nose is permanently in a book.

A Short History

Insomnia became a part of my life at 6 months and it’s never gone away. When I dream, my dreams are vivid and memorable. At about 7 years my dreams became lucid and shortly after that I started Astral traveling. I thought everyone could and did it but found out 23 years later that everyone did not.

My mom had my brother when I was 3 years old. I liked him but I wasn’t impressed with her. Although my brother and I fought like normal siblings we stood united against our enemies and became really close shortly before he was killed.

I started ballet at age 4 but passionately hated it. I found my niche in modern dancing and did well until age 16 when many things lost a bit of flavor.

I liked school but find it difficult to learn from others. Usually the pace and order of what I want and need to learn is frustrating. I was labeled because I read too much, thought too much and was always too sensitive.  I had lots of friends and I was incredibly cheeky. I got most of my worst scolding and trouble for being cheeky.

My health has been an issue from birth but none of it was chronic. It was just a twice-yearly bout of inexplicable illness, which seemed to baffle the Medical fraternity.

At 15 a disaster struck. Five months before my 16th birthday my brother was tragically and instantly killed in an accident. We moved away to Durban as the memories were too painful to stay where we were. I started a new school in my last two years at school. At this school I also met my first love. Unfortunately it was a mentally and emotionally abusive relationship that left me pretty devastated.

I studied teaching, pr and secretarial and then took one year at RAU university. I suffered an emotional broken heart, which manifested as a physical broken heart. I spent three days in ICU and six weeks in hospital. Shortly after this I met my husband David. We married in 1992 but shortly after our wedding, a month in fact, I was diagnosed with CFS which later turned out to be Fybromyalgia. Our relationship took strain from my illness and problems with his family. We divorced in 1997 and it was very stressful and painful.

I met Roché on the net. It was an exciting and strange medium and the possibilities it presented fascinated me. Roché is a brilliant programmer. When I met him though he was a poet and a writer and I fell in love with an artist. An artist and a programmer are two different creatures but one adjusts.

Roché and I married on 25 October 2003. Check out our wedding photos they are awesome. We had a wonderful day and recently bought our first little house. (More pictures in the photo’s section)

Our child is a little Yorkshire terrier called Tigger. We live in a stunning little town called Stellenbosch. It is at the foot of several beautiful mountains amidst the most glorious wine estates in the country. We have a massive university in our town.

I love my collage art and making things. I have four web pages please feel free to visit and enjoy.
